Fox River Grove has so much history. The Dead End was once a resort back in 1923. Then eventually became a bar. It was owned by the Johnson family for a few generations.

My parents, Dan and Yukiko Frantz, bought the bar back in 1990. Back then it was only a bar. They built the Grill Kitchen and then the Pizza Oven a few years later. All original recipes are homemade (soups, chili, pizza sauce, dough) and created by my parents.

William (Wilbur) and Sherry Mehlman (Dan and Yukiko's daughter) bought the bar from her parents back in 2020. We still continue to run the bar and have an awesome staff that has been like family for many years. We still carry the exact same homemade recipes that my parents created, plus many more items.
